Celebrating.

Tomorrow is Inauguration Day. I can not remember ever being as excited or as inspired about a President's Inauguration...ever. I am fortunate to be spending the morning with good friends of mine to watch the event on TV. It is not just that Barack Obama will be sworn in, although that excites me too. But rather I believe Barack has ushered in a renewed sense of hopefulness, a sense of community, a sense of "being called", a sense of responsibility, a sense of making the hard decisions and doing the hard work, a sense of future despite all the bad economic news and the never ending wars. I believe these feelings are felt across the United States, across all peoples, across all political parties. It is magical!
